Exercise Classes

SLLIM (Seniors Living and Laughing in Motion)
This exercise class is designed for seniors who are interested in maintaining flexibility, balance, range of motion, and strength. The exercises are approved by the Arthritis Foundation to protect the joints of those who suffer from arthritis. Most exercises are performed from either sitting in a chair or standing behind the chair.

Class meets October through May in Room 206 (second floor) every Monday from 11:00a – 12:00p.

Yoga
Yoga for all levels is offered in six-week sessions on Tuesday mornings and Thursday evenings. The cost is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for comfort in a seated position or laying down. The class meets in Room 206 and childcare is available upon request. Call the church office (725-4391) for current class offerings.

Meditation
Meditation occurs prior to the Thursday evening yoga class, free of charge. This guided meditation is designed to help calm the mind and body. Various breathing techniques, visualizaitons, and hand gestures (mudras) will be used. The meditations will vary each week to explore different ways to find focus, concentrations, and reduce stress. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for comfort in a seated position or laying down. Optional props to bring to class include a yoga mat, blanket, and eye pillow.
